My ‘Funny’ Valentine?

Via The Wall Street Journal, the Republican National Committee is spreading the love this year with Obama and Clinton E-Valentines. This is not the first Valentine’s Day gimmick for the Republican party, as earlier they introduced Maxine the Pink Elephant. The sudden attention to the upcoming holiday of love could lead people to wonder if the party may finally be developing a heart.

If you were to design an e-card with Republican front-runner Sen. John McCain on it, what would it say?

McCain Valnetines That’s a hard one, especially since people don’t usually have a strong reaction to McCain one way or the other.

How about him greeting some troops, ideally looking a bit snarly, with the caption, “I’m Gung-Ho for You!” ???

Something more sympathetic, yet tasteless, could be McCain coming home from Vietnam – “I’m a prisoner of your love!”

But for those of us with long memories, nothing would beat something along the lines of “My heart’s still ‘Keating’ for you!”

I heard there were going to be cheney cards but they couldn’t do anything too racy or his heart might not be able to take it…
