Your comparison doesn’t work. The idea that Chai Vang was acting in “self-defense” is ridiculous. Look at his own testimony and that is easy to see.

And yet Chai Vang was sentenced to lifetime in prison when he was using self defense.

It is not paranoia if the gun was initially held by the police department and if there are discrepencies in which gun is which and who’s it is really.

Everyone should check out the link V8L posted so they can all see what a racist he is, automatically assuming I’m white because we disagree.

Everyone keeps going on about the gun being planted, but there is ZERO evidence to support that assumption. All any of you have shown is paranoid speculation that is circumstantial at best.

I especially love “Staff Sgt Vang’s” comments about “rules of engagment,” when he clearly has no idea that civilian POLICE rules are different than in the military. Sorry, but if someone points a gun at you, you are legally able to shoot and keep shooting until they are no longer a threat. Often times that takes upwards of 10 shots if you are using a handgun. People with no knowledge of handgun ballistics, forensics, and the law as it applies to deadly force encounters should do a little research before participating in a debate like this.

Hmm this case sounds like it has not been unwrapped for the question “WAS THAT GUN IN FONG LEE’S HAND DURING THE SCENARY”…..ALSO from the statement:

“That’s why we want to be absolutely clear: no officer ever planted evidence in this case and we look forward to proving that in court.”

I wish this was like CSI create the scene of shooting a person the same times as the officer shot and see how much blood splatter it will make……

Because from the start the reason he shot because of belief of the weapon that person had….sounds like the story for this court session has just been flip floppy and not sustained onto ONE STATEMENT. After the findings of no finger print on the gun, the police officier restates because of life in jeopardy to shoot that many times at Fong Lee. Still that doesn’t answer the question from the start about him having a gun and proving to the court that the police officier didn’t plant the gun.

Sgt Vang is telling it how it is…but “kill his kids’ is too excessive…I am sadden to the fact that real justice was not served. Alot of the police these days are ignorant…this was action by the police that will never bring trust again to the community…I feel alot of rage just like everyone else that has posted and I think that Chief dolan and anderson should step down…and anderson should serve time…I know that we should as a community take this peacefully to reach justice…but we need to set an example and do things our way…the evidence was obviously pointed at corruption, he used excessvie force ( but i guess the jurors are to stupid to know what that is), and his story changed back and forth to the point that it didn’t make sense….this only tells us like how Tou Ger Xiong said, ” this shows that because we are hmong and a monority, we don’t have the same constitutional rights”….we need to take action now….peacefully or excessively….

I think that these Police Officers should be fired and locked up for the rest of their lives for murder. Do these officers even know what the RULES OF ENGAGEMENT are? Did Fong Lee ever shot at them? In any way did the Police Officers ever felt that their lives was threatened? All I see in the video is a kid scared half to death and running for his life. Being in the military for 8 years I know that I can’t engage at the enemies until they engaged at me. This is why tax dollars are so high these days to pay for stupid ignorant Police Officers like these guys. Plus they even got a medal for shooting a innocent kid. What a bunch pathetic people running our city these days. A while back Chief Dolan even gave medals those police officers that raided the wrong Hmong house up in North Side Minneapolis. Wonder how much our tax dollars paid for the settlement in that law suit. These retards needs to get their acts right or we’ll be paying for their stupid actions for the rest of our lives. Open up your eyes people.

Officer Jason Andersen should be the one who get shot 9 times. Was that NECESSARY?!?!?!

He shouldn’t have got a stupid valor award. An award for killing is PATHETIC!
