Mark Kennedy shows he’s desperate by being the 1st to go negative

Markkennedyfuzzy-1Mark Kennedy knows that he can’t run on his record, the issues, he knows he can’t or even his image, so he’s turning to the last hold-out of the desperate politician: the attack ad.

More insideSure, it always happens sooner or later but isn’t it telling that Congressman Mark Kennedy is the first out of the gates with an attack ad.  It’s not surprising when his numbers are so low, his whole strategy seems to be doing what the NRC tells him to do (being that the NRC’s stated strategy is personal attacks), and attack ads are his ad-man’s bread-and-butter, but the least he could do is make an accurate attack ad.  But instead he doles out the same recycled non-sense that the media has already dubbed “insincere” and “unsubstantiated” [Strib Blog 5/1/06].

In the end this is just more of the same from the Makeover Mark who ran ads against Wetterling in 2004 that were in such poor taste that the Star Tribune called them “off-target and uncharacteristically mean-spirited” [10/24/04] and the Pioneer Press called “fiercely negative” and “baseless” [10/17/04].

So, keep turning your back to the issues to make baseless attacks Mark, we all know there’s nothing else your campaign can do at this point.
