Is it just me or are some of the slogans suggested for Tax Day Tea Party banners far from…. revolutionary? Attendees at next Wednesday’s Capitol rally are encouraged to download banners or make their own bearing mottos like:
“The sleeping giant is now awake”
“I’m sorry I didn’t do more to stop the madness”
“Sleep? I’ll Sleep When Conservatives Run Congress”
“No Taxation Without Deliberation”
“No Taxation Without Deliberative Representation”
“No Spending Without Deliberation”
“No Spending Without Deliberative Representation”
Despite the fierce verbiage, there seems to be some timidity among event organizers. Local Tea Party blogger “cinnfullyconservative” warns: “Beware of the anti-tea party saboteurs!” Word — from Michele Malkin and other rightwing bloggers — is that clipboard-wielding nogoodniks are planning to “infiltrate tea party events and try and collect information from participants.” Cinnful’s advice:
If you are asked to sign something at the rally, please make sure the people asking have the proper credentials.
Nothing says “Revolution! Nuff said” — as one sign idea reads — than “Can I see your ID card, please?”

Here’s the big difference between the Boston Tea Party and the current anti-intellectual exercise being referred to as the “Tea Party”.
The founding fathers didn’t have a bunch of arch-conservative GOP fat cats and corporate interests quietly shoving money at them behind the scenes and trying to make the whole thing look like a populist endeavor.
Conservatives sure didn’t have any problem with massive amounts of taxes going to support the war in Iraq, did they?

EK, you’re an idiot and a troll. If you don’t want to join the grassroots movement against Marxism turning the USA into the USSA, stay home and keep spewing vapid comments like the last one. We’ll roll right over you…
