Talk about twisting the facts to make a point! The writer(s) are trying the class warfare attack on a problem they have caused. In fact, his own points are basically to do more of the same....idiocy!

“more of [minorities'] income goes to pay debt, and less goes to buy assets.”, so what happened to the assets they bought with the credit cards that are now causing the debt?

"More recently, Harvard University discovered that, among blacks and whites of similar incomes, lenders targeted blacks more often for sub-prime loans, even when those minority borrowers were eligible for less risky arrangements." The sub-prime loan is risky to the LENDER, not to the borrower! The government drive to make riskier and riskier loans to the lower income and minority sectors was a huge cause of the sub-prime crash. Is the memory of this so fleeting that the writer is insisting we do it again?

Lastly, one of the major drivers of wealth is generational. Because the average lifespan of whites is climbing and many minorities is falling the Social security program as currently set up robs blacks to the advantage of whites. If Bush's privitization plan had been passed years ago blacks would have been able to build wealth that would have passed on, instead they die earlier and whites enjoy the benefits longer. Unfortunately, that didn't fit the cradle to grave agenda of the democrat party. Blame your leaders, for they keep you where you are on purpose!
