Comments on: ‘Missing youth’ story rattles local Somali community

After heavy thinking and much thoughts I have decided to write on this blog so that the Somali youth will at least know what I have in my mind even if it’s just once. The net is the best place for the Somali youth around the globe to chat online and express their thoughts and exchange their own ideas. the net is the only tool that the Somalians even the kids can use to have their voices heard. The Somali youth has being neglected in the Somali politics by the arrogant old men back home. These old men who are currently battling for the control of the country are just after their own interest and don’t think of any other thing, their kids and families stay in the western countries where they have access to a good education, good medication and live comfortable life. this is time that we have being waiting for, this is our very own time and we should not allow these uneducated men to continue their old tactics of tribalism, killing of innocent citizens , looting and destroying the properties of our very own people back home for the sake of their own profit. I strongly encourage the Somali youth to stand up together, have their say and force these old men to retire from their clan based politics.

So, people in minority racial status in the US face discrimination, low status jobs or unemployment,
few education opportunities, etc.

Now what is in it for a Somali Patriot? Opportunity to shape the country. It may be a lie
but the basic human feeling is that it is probably crap here and maybe a real ideal or life there.

Lets shape the argument this way to the local flag wavers:
So when the commies come rolling in from Nicaragua are you gonna roll over or join up and
save your country?

asc brother abdi i think your confused all practicing muslims were against abdulahi yusuf for bringing an outsider in our lands muslim soil but before that it was a tribal intrest. their are many people who used islam as an excuse to fight against ethiopians in protest through tribalism and their were equal amount who had no concern for tribe many darood people are against ethiopians in our land. when it comes to religion to the somali people religion take priority and it was our religion at risk plz stop mis in forming people

Only the Hawiye clan Somalis were opposed to the intervention by Ethiopia. most of our people in Puntland and most other clans supported the Abdullahi government. it is all sad clan politics
