Meanwhile, local blogs point to Pawlenty’s descent from frontrunner status for the Republican VP slot due to his plan to limit carbon emissions.  As Gary Matthew Miller put it, “Senator McCain must ask himself how a veep-nominee Pawlenty would play in the must-win battleground state of West Virginia…”
