You liberals don’t have a clue of whats happening to America! The American dream will be dead if Obama has his way. We’ll all be poor and in the same boat. The government will control your lives and everyone’s taxes will rise because a small percentage of America will not be able to shoulder the load of debt. Is this what you want? The government taking care of you with no incentive to better yourself and be successful? Not to mention bankrupcy of our country and our children and their children, burdened with high taxes unable to enjoy the rewards of their labors. Wake up!!!! Every citizen has a right to express their views and should not be marked as being a “terrorist”, a redneck or stupid!! Making fun of average people won’t work. Get a life!

IrishMN….Since I last checked we are a REPUBLIC, not a socialist society. I am not responsible for anyone but myself and my family. And the writer of this story is obviously biased. I was there and there were more than 2 non-white Americans there, and the author has chosen to show the few anti-Obama signs that were there. I saw about 4 anti-Obama signs out of hundreds. Also…there were at least 7000-8000 people there. Way to go MN “Independent”! LOL! Thsi is not journalism, this is opinion as far as I am concerned. Andy Birkey should be ashamed of himself!!

That’s exactly it-

Its not about party or race- but unrepresented spending. Taxes aren’t too bad now… but when all these plans go through, you’re children will have such a burden, they’ll never be able to live the prosperous life you grew up with.

What these people can’t handle is everyone making them out to be “extremist” and “racist”- they’re everyday people, your coworkers and bosses, that see this debt piling up. What’s sad is journalism lives no more. There is no more truth in the media. They’re just slinging mud, which is pathetic, because all you saps that lap it up. You have no idea what the real issue is, and you are obviously too ignorant to care. You don’t know the issue to even argue, so you settle on attack the people.

That’s why these people are standing up. For those that don’t even care where this country is heading, and for their children. Here’s a thought: What is the logic of spending your way out of debt?

These people understand that the specific income tax rate isn’t the whole issue and that Obama’s tax “cut” isn’t a tax cut at all, but a socialist wealth transfer.

And they understand that not all taxes are income taxes, such as inflation due to reckless spending (Obama has spent more in his first 3 months than Bush spent in 8 years) and the dead-weight loss of regulation from such idiotic plans as Cap and Trade.

Many of those tea bags look to be supporting the Socialist UK owned Lipton, and commie loving Portland TAZO. hypocritic tea baggers.

I think if these people want to pay a flat-fair tax they should. Since a flat tax would significantly raise most people’s taxes- I don’t see a problem with that. If they want to pay more they should. That’s freedom. And that’s American.
