Video: McCain hosts weekend blowout for big-media journos

Via the always excellent Glenn Greenwald at Salon: The top-drawer national media types who attended a weekend “social gathering”-cum-pep-rally at the Arizona home of John McCain were not allowed to record the event electronically. Which left the job to the candidate’s 23-year-old daughter, Meghan McCain. I’ll bet Holly Bailey of Newsweek is tickled no end to see this footage of herself swaying around in a tire swing, glass of wine held aloft–and later falling out of same.

Ah, well–all between friends.

guilt I’m really not sure how these journalists mentally get away with it.

I felt deeply guilty just drinking a Vitamin Water provided by Google (cost $1.79).

Best line (maybe) Mmm, tamales and tire swings. What a gas. My favorite: “The guys from Politico brought [Mrs. McCain] flowers”!
