I noticed that all the arrested politicians are democrats.

It underscores the fact that dems favor pointless displays to garner attention for themselves, but lack the stomach for decisive action which may be judged unpopular, like the liberation of Afghanistan.

I posted this comment with the startribune, but I think it bears repeating:
Keith Ellison was trying to voice concerns about Darfur and wasn’t getting any press about it. And Michele Bachmann is constantly making a fool of herself and embarrassing the state of Minnesota with her ignorant rants and is being heard. Horary for Keith Ellison. I’m proud of him and his stance that really means something in this world like 300,000 people being exterminated.

So Ellison couldn’t call a press conference outside of the Sudanese embassy? This guy is nothing but a rogue. Apparently the choker chain Pelosi had around this buffoons scrotum slipped off.

Yes, there are other platforms for protest. So far none have worked. If Sudan was amenable to floor speeches and press statements and hearings, this wouldn’t have been necessary. If Carey has a better idea on getting Sudan to listen, let’s hear it.
