A bill to expand the self-defense definition that lets gun owners use deadly force failed a House committee vote yesterday. Rep. Tony “Stand Your Ground” Cornish, R-Good Thunder, says he still might try inserting the legislation as an amendment into another bill. Last night the Colbert Report introduced us to a state senator from Tennessee who wants to legalize guns in bars.

You do know, of course . . . . . . that it’s perfectly lawful, in Minnesota, to carry a handgun in a bar as long as, of course, you have a carry permit.

Or don’t you?

Silence . . . . . . well, you know how it goes; I’ll take your silence as your admission that you didn’t know what the law is in Minnesota, and that your worries about the sky falling are, well, a little chicken.

So to speak.
