tpaw-ad-stillA new television ad (that’s TV, not only Web) asks Gov. Tim Pawlenty to certify Al Franken as U.S. Senator-elect if the Democrat still has more votes than Republican Norm Coleman after a Minnesota Supreme Court ruling expected this summer.

The ad’s sponsors are Americans United for Change, Alliance for a Better Minnesota and the Minnesota AFL-CIO.

When’s the last time you saw a TV ad asking an elected official to obey the law?

Hey, that’s exactly what I was thinking, just before I got to the last line of your post. Shouldn’t this be along the lines of a demand, under penalty of being in contempt of the MN SC?

Why beg Pawlenty to do his job? This may be an excellent opportunity to get rid of the gov by letting him violate the law.
