This should be passed by the House to MAKE Pawlenty veto it! I believe the vast majority of Minnesotans support such basic rights.

I worked in the ICU for many years. When someone is dying, the person that is closest to them needs to be able to make decisions for them. It has nothing to do with gender, marriage, family or anything else. Only a fool would make this a political issue. Living wills are not the perfect answer but they help. Consider that options if you have concerns about this.

Oh no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They want to let one adult decide which other adult can make end of life decisions for them?

Why, that sounds like .............freedom............................can't have that...........................

Doesn't it make more sense to have end of life decisions made by an estranged brother or sister? Or octogenarian parents suffering from Alzheimer's? Or kids who either stand to inherit some money or hate your guts?

Republicans are such a joke.

i was just wondering what gives anyone the right to tell other people what they do and do not have the rights to do. it is absolutely ridiculous. the republican party is pretty much nothing more than a hate group. i could have sworn that we fought fascism in world war II. but obviously this is a country that promotes hatred.

Pawlenty gives himself some wriggle room. McClung states Pawlenty does not support the bill, but doesn't state that Pawlenty will veto the bill should it cross his desk.
