The Big Fish in Bena, Minn., is endangered — and not because Minnesota’s fishing season opens at midnight. A rotting wood frame has landed the former Big Muskie Drive-In hamburger stand on the state’s Ten Most Endangered Historic Places list. Others sites on the Preservation Alliance of Minnesota’s annual list:
Chaska Athletic Park, Chaska
Palace Hotel, Crookston
Dassel Co-op Dairy Association Creamery Building, Dassel
St. Louis County Jail, Duluth
Rock Island Swing Bridge, Inver Grove Heights
Foley-Brower-Bohmer House, St. Cloud
Schmidt Brewery, St. Paul
Distressed urban neighborhoods, statewide
Historic wood windows, statewide
