Conservative author: Best hope for conservatism is... Obama Perhaps the good man realizes that there are many issues, and many unwarranted deaths in the world, and abortion is no worse than the death of tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis, or the worldwide death from starvation and climate conflict that climate change would bring.

Perhaps he, like many Christian conservatives, is finding a new way to apply his moral code to a world in profound trouble.

Conservative author: Best hope for conservatism is... Obama As a self-described Catholic conservative, I find Mr. Bacevich choice puzzeling. He assumes that Obama can and will remove us from Iraq for good or ill, while knowing that he will also most assuredly continue the slaughter of the unborn, an absolutely untenable position for a Catholic conservative.
