Mark Kennedy needs to learn to focus on the truth first

I know I know you are all so shocked. But he isn’t actually a CPA, he’s at best an Inactive CPA and isn’t allowed to say that he is a CPA without saying “Inactive” along with it, if he leads people people believe he is an actual praticing CPA they’ll spank him and send him to bed with out dessert.Kennedy’s lovely ad (I finally went out of my way to find it on tv after Lapis mentioned it) was very amusing and you put these things together this is a guy who wants to get rid of a tax that creates roads (just wait for people to yelp about needing more roads, try to find a GOPer in Minnesota who doesn’t want to continue to pour money into creating roads in a desperate attempt to create 5th ring burbs) and give it back to…the people? Sure for about a week taxes would be lower but that’s not the key. The key of course is that it sounds good. It’s not going to actually make a difference.

We had gas taxes when I was in high school and gas was 89 CENTS per gallon (1998/1999, not forever ago). It’s not about the taxes. But taxes are such a nice neat easy thing to blame that why bother going through the difficult mind bending, thought required elements that are needed to figure out why gas prices have actually risen.

So I’m really glad that Kennedy isn’t a CPA, it would totally make me think all CPA’s are idiots who can’t figure out that there is only ever one reason for any increase. I’d be really frustrated because then trying to get an increase in pay would be impossible. They’d swear that the only new money going to my pay check could be for my increase in health insurance. Because there is a one to one direct only one piece relationship right? EHHHH! Wrong. Multiple parts, complex issue, you know….a war, inflation, all that good stuff.
