DFL legislative leaders took a spin around the state Tuesday to spread words of warning about Gov. Pawlenty’s budget cuts. In Rochester: “Devastating.” St. Cloud: “Measurable damage done to society.” Duluth: “Vetoing jobs.” Bemidji: “We could either do it his way or he would do it his way.” In Rochester and Mankato, the Dems were met by Republicans’ words: The guv “rescued the state” and what DFLers “squawk about … isn’t going to come to fruition.” Meanwhile in Moorhead, the Forum newspaper scolded both sides for a “dizzying, post-session spin cycle.”

Could someone smart do an analysis or research how many jobs the 318,000,000 hospital cut alone will cost this state?
It seems TPaw is the biggest job killer in the history of the state, but it would be nice to get some actual facts. My guess is this one cut alone will cost 2-3000 jobs. All to protect 2% of the population.

Government cannot create jobs. Only choose winners, and that is done inefficiently.
