Fit to lead? A tale of two Arizona septuagenarians

Two men from Arizona in their 70s made public appearances over the last 24 hours that raised eyebrows in the press: John McCain lost a page of his speech in a Teleprompter goof, while Lute Olson held a decidedly odd press conference heralding his return as coach of the University of Arizona men’s basketball team.

Both septuagenarian Arizonans are in the public eye, but concerns over age and health seem to be reserved for Olson, 73, who will be running the University of Arizona men’s basketball team. The press has largely kept mum on the age and health of McCain, 71, who wants to run the country.
