I thought so.

If you’re going to label world religions, like Islam, as terroristic, then why bother to identoify any group as terroristic? One could easily apply the same label to any other religion, like Catholicism or an entire country, like Lebanon or Northern Ireland. But there are plenty of Islamic groups or “leftist groups” (which the right-wing identifies as anybody who disagrees with them) which have a far less extensive record of violence and criminal behavior, who have been labeled as “terrorist.” Why should Operation Rescue or Operation Save America or other anti-choice groups be treated any differently?

In addition, there have been 17 attempted murders, 41 bombings, 175 incidents of arson, 96 attempted bombings or arson, 390 invasions, 1,400 cases of vandalism, 1,993 cases of trespassing, 100 butyric acid attacks, 659 anthrax threats, 179 cases of assault and battery, 406 death threats, four kidnappings, 151 burglaries, and 525 cases of stalking directed at abortion clinics, doctors and patients according to the National Abortion Federation.”

That’s quite a record amounting to a virtual crime wave and not just the work of “one or a few loons.”It seems that extremism and terrorism is a feature not a bug of this movement. It stems directly from the false ideology professed by Randall Terry equating “abortion” with ” murder” or, as I have seen in the comments on this site “genocide.” Abortion is NOT murder. It is not genocide. Obviously, people who believe this have no problem justifying depraved crimes including what actually is cold-blooded murder to make a political point. That’s terrorism.

Where are anti-abortion leaders, like Michele Bachmann, on Dr.Tiller’s murder? She was quick to condemn Dept. of Homeland Security’s attempt to list some of these groups as domestic terrorists. Bachmann’s extreme views in protecting these extremists place her right up there with them. She shares in the blame for this senseless murder of an honorable and courageous man.
