Ouch: Obama down 20 in same PA poll that had him tied with HRC last week

American Research Group, the outfit whose survey from last week had the Pennsylvania primary race at a 45-45 deadlock, released new numbers today showing Hillary Clinton with a whopping 20-point lead there, at 57-37.
What happened? Principally the “dust-up” (the candidate’s own word) over Barack Obama’s comments about the “bitterness” of marginalized Americans. Interestingly, though, a number of Pennsylvanians say it’s Obama’s media blitz in the state that’s turning them off. Quoting ARG’s summary of its latest numbers: “23 percent of likely Democratic primary voters say that excessive exposure to Obama’s advertising is causing them to support Clinton.”
ARG’s results also suggest that, in Pennsylvania, Obama is at least for now a more polarizing figure than Hillary Clinton (emphasis added): “10 percent of all likely Democratic primary voters say they would never vote for Hillary Clinton in the primary and 24 percent of likely Democratic primary voters say they would never vote for Barack Obama in the primary.“
