The stars still say a decision in the Norm Coleman-Al Franken Senate dispute will come June 14 (with signs that Franken will be seated July 7), according to a knowledgeable astrologer. But a Minnesota Supreme Court spokesman says the court’s ruling won’t come down that day — because it’s a Sunday.

Astrologer Terry Lamb had allowed that the fact that Monday, June 15 was a more reasonable date for a court decision to be announced when she first charted the conflict using Franken’s exact time of birth.

But until the St. Paul Pioneer Press learned that the order would come during weekday business hours, anything seemed possible. Indeed, the court’s spokesman told the Minnesota Independent earlier this week that he expected the Coleman-Franken decision at any time and that the court would not wait for an official occasion like its regular announcement time at 10 a.m. Thursdays.

If all goes according to the celestial signals, Franken would be in office in time to participate in hearings, as he has pledged to do, on the nomination of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the U.S. Supreme Court, now set to begin in committee on July 13.
