Gary Wills says speeches link Obama and Lincoln

For the May 1 New York Review of Books, Gary Wills compares Barack Obama’s speech on race last month to Abraham Lincoln’s famous Cooper Union address in which Lincoln, while seeking the Republican nomination for president in 1860, disputed the Supreme Court’s Dred Scott decision.
Heady stuff, but before Wills gets to that, he rattles off some neat Lincoln-Obama parallels that put the old Lincoln-Kennedy coincidences to shame.
