The NYT’s politics blog, The Caucus, notes today that Julie Nixon Eisenhower (pictured) is a financial backer of Barack Obama. Meanwhile, however, sister Tricia Nixon Cox has given the max to John McCain, and her son Christopher Cox is the state director of McCain’s New York campaign.

But Julie is not alone among Nixonistas in rejecting McCain. According to The New Nixon — and not every dead president, it should be noted, has his own news blog — there are numerous old Nixon hands who distrust McCain for cozying up to neocons on foreign policy. They include Robert Ellsworth, Nixon’s ambassador to NATO.
