Well it didn't take long for Pawlenty to go on TV and brag about
how he made cuts on his own. Pawlenty said this is the first time
in 150 years this happened. He is proud of cutting health care
for the poor and for higher education. Then he cut k thru 12
he calls it delayed payment what it really is a CUT.
Property taxes went up and thanks to pawlenty.
Pawlenty brags how he didn't raise taxes when in fact he did
he raised them only he called them fees. Pawlenty wants to
go to the White House and he will run over anybody to get
there and sad it is the people that need it most.
He sure was not going to raise taxes on the rich that would
     include him and his wife.

Where did all these obscure incredibly powerful laws come from anyway? The Governor can override the people? The Republicans can withhold our elected officials indefinitely? Come on, is this a dictatorship?

Here in Massachusetts, the governor has a line-item veto, but he can't raise taxes. Is it lawful in MN for the governor to be able to raise taxes (on renters) without legislative approval?

Cutting spending when the country is going deeper into recession is not the way to pull out of recession. About that every sensible economist agrees.

Our balanced budget law works against our interests in that regard.

But it is made worse when the ONLY answer is to cut spending, as Mr. Pawlenty embraces with his unilateral unallotments - how "Hoover-esque" Mr. Pawlenty is at this moment in history.

His actions will mean fewer people working, earning and spending. So the recession deepens.

People who suggest the eonomy is already recovering, things are fine - they are spreading false information. It's not true, not yet.

I have always been amazed at the joy timmy shows when he vetoes bills. He knows that his place in Minnesota history will be the lasting legacy of cutting spending and saving the wealthy from the scourge of paying taxes that would go to help the poor.

Just stop participating in anything. Do not spend money, except when necessary.
Rent, do not own. You will pay taxes owning.
Do not buy gas. Do not travel. Do not participate in marriage until it is equal for all. Do not pay taxes. Rent movies instead of going to the theatre.
Do not go to bars. Spend as little as possible.
BBQ instead of a restaurant.
There are other obvious forms of non-participation. This does not mean you have to be anti-social. Just keep your money for a while. You will feel better, believe me.

Cut services and education, but we get a nearly billion-dollar ballpark.

Fighting for the rich. As always.

Republican's are always harping about a government you can drown in a bathtub. Now we all get to see how that situation looks in practice. I am enjoying this myself. And enjoy your wars and tax cuts for the rich, the economy is looking just great.
