Bachmann won’t fill out full census, fears ACORN

What an unprecedented moron. In addition to charging her $100 per unanswered census question, Alex Rodriguez needs to knock up one of her daughters.

Besides publicly vowing to break federal law (hey mainstream local political reporters–are you listening???), Bachmann also will be ensuring that her constituents are underrepresented in the next census, which is what the distribution of federal dollars is based on. That’s in keeping with her phony “no earmarks” pledge to ensure that our district gets no return on our federal tax dollars sent to Washington. Have you ever seen a member of Congress so bent on screwing their own constituents?

Constituents of Minnesota’s 6th congressional district, please remember this when she runs for reelection. You can find much better representation than Ms. Bachmann, really!

First she’s the Hard Heavy Hitter of ACORN, and now she’s it’s potential victim? Pick a stance, Bachmann, and have the guts to stick with it, or is this your unctuous, slimy way of permitting yourself to dump two heaps of crap out of both sides of your ass instead of just one?

On the other hand she’ll be doing her part to help keep Census 2010 workers employed. She’ll receive mailings, phone calls and personal visits before any penalties are assessed. Keep it up, Mrs. Bachmann, I need the work.

If she could take off the tin foil hat awhile, she might remember that Minnesota is on the cusp of losing a seat after redistricting. We badly need everyone to return their form. If her constituents fall for this nonsense, her district will appear smaller than it is, and that’s not good for saving her seat. It might be worth losing a seat to get rid of her. However, if we lose a seat, there’s hardly a guarantee Bachmann will be the one to go.

Good grief. How does this woman even remember to breathe at the same time she’s walking?

So, if we fudge on the census, Michelle will disappear? Then I suggest none of us participate in the census. Goodbye, Michelle.

Unfortunately, these types of people always have more braggadocio than courage of conviction.
The same people who whip up the war chants, yet never had the guts to wear the military uniform.
We’ll all find out whether or not she truly decides to teach her family how to break the law. I believe the Census Bureau, and ACORN, will be watching.

Where is the law written that says we have to fill out questionnaire? Where is the law that says it is $100 fine for not answering each question. Just because they threaten a fine, does not mean it is law.

Perhaps someone in her household who is not “special” will fill fill out the forms…

I agree with Skeeter, they want information they have no business getting . If you have read enough you would know they will not guarantee to keep your info private, infact it will be sold off to vendors. What ever happened to America the Free, what is wrong with u people. Everyone needs to enmass refuse to give all their personal info so people like thugs/ ACORN have access.

How about this as an example of Bachmann-esque logic:

If she only fills out the number of residents at her home, they cannot be individually enumerated (this I do know as fact because I’m a veteran of the 2000 census workforce).

If the people in the household cannot be individually enumerated, they become part of the estimated population.

As part of the estimated population, they cannot be proven to exist as individuals.

Therefore, the members of Michelle Bachmann’s household cannot be counted as US citizens.

Since Michelle Bachmann cannot be counted as a US Citizen, she is not longer eligible to be a member of the US House of Representatives.

The 6th Congressional district of Minnesota will have to hold a special election to fill the vacant seat.

See how easy that is? She can be gotten rid of in no time. She and her family will then be able to be considered illegal aliens and deported. Since we’re not sure wich country to send her to, she can be assigned to be the caretaker at Gitmo after it’s closed.

Have a clue, you people need to mature and be concerned with the real issues at hand. The census information is vital and what makes our Gov’t unique in the world. We all might not agree with the current party in power, but that is the joy of our system we will have another election and we can change what we don’t like.

By not participating in the Census you not only leave out vital information that is used to discern the distribution of federal tax dollars, it also provides the information used to determine how we are represented in Gov’t. But from the sounds of you morons maybe you should pack your bags and head for somewhere where you “don’t” have to provide information to the Government so they can find out how best use tax revenues to provide services. Seems most people that say you have to fill out the census are working for the Government in some way. First off there is no need for anything other then a head count the rest of the info obtained is purely for political reasons mostly for whomever is in power to redistrict. To say that no-one else gets this information is a complete and TOTAL LIE.

Have any of you seen the “long form?” We have, twice, and have deposited it in the trash. I would like to know why ANYONE needs to know how many toilets I have in my home, what time my husband LEAVES the house for work everyday and countless other personal, CONFIDENTIAL questions. The Census and anyone else involved in sending this out are daft to think I am going to tell complete strangers this information. They tell me the are required by law to keep it private. How foolish do they think we are? I applaud this Reps courage to call this Census what it is, overreaching and unnecessary. Tell ‘em how many people are in your home. Good for her! Those of you who are responding negatively are morons and puppets who have the government hand up your butt! I don’t know anything else about this woman and could care less – but she’s right about census. All this B.S. about why the questions are needed for programs are bull! This information is sold to same idiots who send a bunch of junk mail to your home and make all those unsolicited calls to everybody regardless of whether or not you ever asked for information or whether or not you inform them you are on the Do Not Call list!! That’s why they try to throw questions in like about toilets in there hoping you won’t notice. There should be no questions asked – all they need to do is have the same Census employee that’s coming to your home anyways asking how many in your household, noting that and that’s it!!!! As she said in the article – the constitution does not require anything else beyond that because that alone takes care of the states representation – period!!! All the other information that they try to b.s. you with s.a. this is important for V.A. benefits or Senior benefits is bogus – do those individuals fill out any less forms or wait any less and get things handed to them easily when it’s time to collect – HELL NO!!! This is only used to get more personal information to SELL! They are too invasive – when they get to Nosey – it’s time to START ALL OVER AGAIN. Our forefathers did! Write your representatives and tell them to end the Census questions NOW!!!!!

The census is to get a ‘count’ of the population of the United States. That’s it, nothing more, nothing less.
I will not tell them anything else, besides, the government already knows how much I make, what race I am, and everything else about me.

You all declaring what she is doing is illegal should try and read the Constitution sometime. The only question they are Constitutionally allowed to ask is the number of people living in the household. Thats it. The census is for enumeration for determining the number of Representatives and thats it. They are not legally allowed to ask you what race you are, what religion, your name, your age, your sex, do you rent or own, etc. Nothing other than enumeration is allowed by the Constitution. If this is brought to court I can assure you, it will be declared unconstitutional at the Supreme Court level, if it makes it that far.

You people need to start reading the Constitution. You do not have to tell any more than the number of people living in the house. That’s all the law requires! WAKE UP people, don’t you see the government is breaking the law by trying to make people answer anything else?
