The McCain/Viagra connection: It takes a hard man to be President

A new unsanctioned billboard in Los Angeles, attributed to culturejammer/artist Ron English, seems to suggest that at age 71, John McCain needs a little help to “get the job done,” presidentially speaking. The ad — which is either entirely made up or an existing billboard that’s been hijacked — seems to be part of a growing McCain/Viagra meme that’s being spread on the left and the right. In January, a writer at TownHall.com (“the first conservative web community”) called McCain “a poster child for Democrats and EDS [Erectile Dysfunction Syndrome]” and said we shouldn’t “be surprised if McCain joins real hero Bob Dole in Viagra commercials.” And in February, a YouTube video made a similar point.
