Ellison: No public option on health care, ‘no’ vote

ellison1Rep. Keith Ellison say that if a public option is not part of Congress’ plan for health care, he will not vote for the plan. For weeks, Congress has been debating a health care plan that includes a Medicaid type public option for those that lack health insurance.

“I will not vote for any health care that does not include a public option,” Ellison said on the House floor on Wednesday. “I will not do it. That’s a guaranteed no vote and I will not be dissuaded from that.”

Next door to Ellison’s district, Rep. Betty McCollum has taken some heat for not speaking loud enough in support of the public option and a single-payer system.

Excellent Keith! And let the Blue Dogs know that they won’t be in Congress much longer.

ROTFL!
I think it’s Keith who’s days are numbered.
He’s up again in 2010, and he’ll be out!

Thank you, Rep. Ellison. There aren’t enough of people like you in D.C.

Still haven’t heard anything bad about him that was true, so people like Andrew must be failing.

I wish my Democrat House Representative had as much integrity and backbone as Ralph Ellison.

Thank you, Represenative Ellison, from those outside your district, as well.
