More Dishonest GOP Push Polling

Just as I finished writing the last post about the unscrupulous push polls GOP cohorts are rolling out, I found another story of nasty push polling in my inbox.  The link is to “The Smirking Cynic” where Nicho details his receiving a push poll designed to disparage Mike Hatch.  Unfortunately Nicho didn’t have a pen or pencil at the ready to record the exact phrases, but he notes that the poller led in with this statement:

I’m going to make a number of statements and I want you to respond if it would make you more likely to vote for the candidate, less likely to vote for the candidate, or does not change your opinion of the candidate.

And this of course set of sirens in Nicho as he’s quite familiar with push polls.  The poller then weaved a number of stories that were not so favorable to Mike Hatch.  Fortunately, in this case, Nicho nabbed the name of the polling company: Western Research.

If anyone knows anything more about this push poll or the one in a previous post, please contact us. Whoever has been employing these dishonest and unscrupulous tactics should be held responsible for their actions.
