Gov. Tim Pawlenty and his wife, Mary, were being interviewed by WCCO Radio’s Mike Max during Saturday’s fishing opener when Pawlenty turned bawdy and dropped a joke about his sex life.

“I have a wife who genuinely loves to fish. I mean, she will take the lead and ask me to go out fishing, and joyfully comes here. She loves football, she’ll go to hockey games, and I jokingly say, ‘Now, if I could only get her to have sex with me I’d really have it made.””

Mary Pawlenty can be heard apologizing over Max’s boisterous laughter while the governor ensures that “it’s a joke.”

And He’s the Leading Choice for McCain’s VP? Pawlenty is such a pig!
This joke shows what a great choice he’ll be for McCain’s running mate.

I thought “good Christians” didn’t talk that way in public.
