Video: A buff Al Franken, in his 20s, demonstrates ‘ego-spray’

Al Franken finally becoming a U.S. Senator this week has inspired a new round of digging through his comedic past, including this clip from the 1976 sketch-comedy film “Tunnel Vision,” in which a buff, 20-something Franken demonstrates the sex appeal of Heavy Changes ego spray.

Having problems getting a date seems to have been a long-standing theme for Franken, who portrayed U.S. Sen. Paul Simon having the same difficulty in a 1991 “Saturday Night Live” skit.
