PetersonU.S. Rep. Collin Peterson raised $294,232 in the second quarter of 2010 2009, according to new filings with the Federal Election Commission. The chairman of the House Committee on Agriculture currently has almost $500,000 in the bank.

Peterson is serving his tenth term in Congress. He has won re-election with at least 65 percent of the vote in each of the last seven election cycles.

Peterson’s colleague, fellow Democratic Rep. James Oberstar, raised slightly less in the quarter: nearly $240,000.
