Kline EllisonU.S. Rep. John Kline pulled in just under $200,000 in the second quarter of 2009, according to new Federal Election Commission filings. The Republican legislator, currently serving his fourth term, has roughly $215,000 currently in the bank.

Meanwhile U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison raised just over $150,000 during the period from April through June. The second-term Democrat has just over $120,000 cash on hand.

Neither is expected to face much political danger in 2010. The Cook Political Report’s chart of competitive races doesn’t include either of the seats.

Meanwhile, Minnesota Rep. Collin Peterson took in nearly $300,000 last quarter, while Rep. James Oberstar cleared nearly $240,000 over the same period.
