Democratic Rules Committee gathering this weekend will produce drama, no resolution

Hillary Clinton has said repeatedly that she will take her fight to seat the full Florida and Michigan delegations at the Democratic National Convention all the way to the convention if necessary, so don’t expect to see any solution when the party’s 30-member rules committee meets this weekend. The AP is reporting today that the Rules Committee lacks the authority to give Clinton the full seating she’s demanding, so a stalemate that affords Clinton a pretext for staying in the race seems assured at this point.

Meanwhile, though, do expect to see plenty of colorful coverage of pro-Clinton demonstrations not unlike the ones Republicans organized during the post-election battles in Florida in 2000 (pictured above).
