When police responded to a 911 call about a noisy South Minneapolis party in the wee morning hours Thursday, a few guests turned out to be fellow cops. Authorities are looking into claims that the two officers who had attended the shindig fired their guns without reason as many as 10 times — simulating the sound of fireworks going off, according to some neighbors who said they were awakened by the racket. Both officers, whose names are undisclosed, have been suspended while the police department conducts criminal and internal affairs investigations into the matter.
