Dibble tapped for transportation post

State Sen. Scott Dibble has been named chair of the National Conference of State Legislatures” Transportation Committee. The Minneapolis Democrat currently oversees the state Senate’s Transit Subdivision. “We are at a defining moment for Minnesota’s, and our entire country’s, transit and transportation systems,” Dibble said in a statement announcing the appointment. “Serving in this role will give me a unique opportunity to help shape the debate on federal issues, including federal surface transportation legislation that is slated for reauthorization this year.”
