The Minneapolis Democrat currently oversees the state Senate’s Transit Subdivision. “We are at a defining moment for Minnesota’s, and our entire country’s, transit and transportation systems,” Dibble said in a statement announcing the appointment. “Serving in this role will give me a unique opportunity to help shape the debate on federal issues, including federal surface transportation legislation that is slated for reauthorization this year.”
