What does the RNC have against Marian Gaborik?

Apparently the Republicans aren’t courting the Minnesota hockey vote. Republican National Convention spokesman Matt Burns issued a statement yesterday ripping Barack Obama’s triumphant visit to St. Paul — and ridiculing the state’s professional hockey team. “The Xcel Energy Center hasn’t hosted anyone who skates and flips as much as Senator Obama since the U.S. Figure Skating Championships were in town and the Minnesota Wild were eliminated from the hockey playoffs,” Burns said.

Perhaps they’re trying to curry favor with voters in Colorado?
