It appears that once a psychology student finishes his/her schooling, and then finishes all the state's licensing requirements, he or she almost has to work in bigger city areas in order to make a larger than average pay check to support their student loans and licensing fees. If the state recognizes the need for more urban mental health workers, why don't they ease up on the requirements (i.e., LPCs without supervison and less red tape for licensing). Where's the incentive?

Hi ZNOFOB,

Who licked the red off your candy? Give providers a break they are simply trying to provide services to those that need them. The sarcasm is what hinders people to seek help for mental health issues, so they go "untreated". Someday, you, a friend, or family member may benefit from these services.

eh...social engineering performed by eugenicists. EVERYONE is mentally ill to these "providers". All on the skirt of a post-doctorate program.

Wonderful.

Look at the smile on that one. Makes me want to tell him I am mentally imbalanced, just so I can try to be as "well" as he looks.

May as well be a bugt under a microscope for these people. It's the same thing.
