We do not need anymore fringe religious fanantics driving this country or this state! Keep your religion where it belongs,-in your home and not my life! Religion today is so entrenched in politics and this must stop! We must maintain a separation of church and state or we will ultimately end up like the far east fighting religious wars right here at home! The fringe right will have you under their thumbs demanding all be done in the name of their gods if we dont take a serious look to prevent this here and now!

“As governor Jungbauer would stand by a no-new-taxes pledge (with possible exceptions)…”. Pledges to not raise taxes are just plain stupid. But this is even more stupid: it isn’t even really a pledge. We don’t make pledges with “possible exceptions” built into them. Bizarre…but then again he thinks God talks to him and the earth is cooling. What the hell has happened to Republicanism?

This man is a loon. I live in his district and he is totally driven by a conservative social agenda without any regard for practical improvements in the district. He was unable to hold his rhetorical ground in front of a room full of high schools civics students, so I am doubtful he has more than a fool’s hope for the GOP nomination. Let us not forget his support of a bill to strip sexual orientation from the anti-discrimination statute, where his co-sponsor in the house stated that we had to do something about the AIDS epidemic as we didn’t want to become another Africa. In the fracas that resulted after those statements, Jungbauer would tell the Star Tribune that he had been pressured to be the sponsor of the bill by an influential group of mothers. Mothers, really Senator? Overall he is someone who will probably destroy his own campaign for governor, but yet should be stopped by people who care for Minesota from lurking longer in our State Senate halls.

So God gets involved in political fundraising? God told this man to run for Governor of Minnesota? What was that Biblical admonition about not wearing your faith on your sleeve? Where’d he get the scoop on global cooling? Same voices in his head?

When people claim God is on their side, they’re just trying to foreclose debate – who can argue with those whom God has annointed and appointed, after all? It is the dangerous tactic of a demogogue to claim God’s endorsement.

Whoah…based on this guys quote, he appears to be dumber than dirt. And after Pawlenty has completely destroyed the state’s economy, I think Minnesotan’s are smart enough to vote for someone other than an “even further to the right” Pawlenty clone.
