While the McCain campaign has been going national with considerable success in its TV and web attack ads on Barack Obama, the Obama crew has opted for a more localized approach that targets regional issues in contested states: in Ohio, McCain’s ties to the foreign-owned DHL delivery service whose acquisition of a service there stands to eliminate over 8,000 jobs in the state; in Nevada, McCain’s support for the Yucca Mountain waste dump; and in Indiana, a more general spot about the Midwest’s faltering economy.
