Rage, Repya, Nader and Paul: Will there be enough non-RNC cops?

The Republican National Convention is the big kahuna of security this fall, with as many as 4,000 police officers needed, but consider what else is going on. The Minnesota State Fair closes in St. Paul the day the convention starts, Ron Paul (along with keynote speaker Jesse Ventura) will be hosting the three-day "Rally for the Republic" at the Target Center (Aug. 31–Sept. 2), and Ralph Nader just announced a Sept. 4 "super-rally" at Minneapolis’ Orchestra Hall. Sprinkled in, there’s an RNC counter-protest spearheaded by Joe Repya (Sept. 1), a SEIU Labor Day rally on Harriet Island (Sept. 1), and a Rage Against the Machine concert at Target Center (Sept. 3).
Which raises a question: If St. Paul police are still struggling to find enough officers to patrol the RNC, will there be enough cops to keep the peace in downtown Minneapolis, the myriad and likely far-flung RNC protests and neighborhoods, like North Minneapolis, that continue to grapple with summer crime?
