Katie Couric. Michele Bachmann. Now you can add Gov. Tim Pawlenty to the short list of pols and media figures who cannot seem to remember which twin city is hosting the Republican National Convention in September. Pawlenty was talking with CNN host Glenn Beck:
Beck: "I swear to you, I`ll even buy you dinner. Governor, thanks a lot."
Pawlenty: "When you come to Minneapolis for the convention send some of that good…"
Beck: "I don’t think I’m coming. No. I don’t think they like me in Minneapolis."
Beck certainly hasn’t endeared himself to Minneapolis. He made headlines when he demanded of Rep. Keith Ellison, the nation’s first elected Muslim, "Sir, prove to me that you are not working with our enemies." Ellison represents Minneapolis in Congress.
Pawlenty’s spokester Brian McClung said the governor misspoke. "When he speaks about the convention, Gov. Pawlenty typically refers to Minnesota, since St. Paul, Minneapolis, Bloomington and several other cities are all playing a role. In this case the governor misspoke. Of course, many reporters will be staying and working in Minneapolis, as well as St. Paul. We’re looking forward to the opportunity to showcase the entire region to the world."

Keith Ellison, you do not have to prove anything to a racist scum like Glenn Beck. It should not matter if you are Jewish, Muslim, Christian or Buddhist. The United States is a country where all people are accepted. Glenn Beck you are a disgrace to all Americans. As an American and as a Jew I denounce your hateful remarks.
