‘Big Time’ Cheney coming to town for RNC
Friday, August 08, 2008 at 10:46 am
Speculation that Vice President Dick Cheney, whose approval ratings indicate a popularity somewhere between Idi Amin and Sen. Larry Craig, will not be coming to the Republican National Convention is apparently wrong. According to a report from USA Today, the VP’s office has confirmed that Cheney will travel to St. Paul and is slated to address the convention. The latest report contradicts an earlier story by The American Spectator, citing sources in Cheney’s office, that he would not make an appearance at the four-day gathering. The man President Bush calls "Big Time" is so politically radioactive that the Democratic National Committee has already launched a web site called "The Next Cheney" to attack potential running mates for John McCain.
