I would like to see the 2012 Republican President and Vice President candidates be Michelle Bachmann and Sarah Palin. I would bet they would have a landslide loss. Bachmann is an absolute "nut" and Palin is just not very bright politically.

Ron Paul and Michele Bachmann, two great American patriots. How about Ron Paul for president and Michele Bachmann for vice-president in 2012!

I see most are not in "favor" of Michelle Bachman...a woman who has raised
something like 17 kids. She would surely know what kind of medical care
one would need for their children. I disagree with those who don't like her,
as what she may have done 3 years ago is NOT what she is doing these
days. Her joining up with the Ron Paul Patriots is great. She is showing
America that she sides with us who are anti everything (war, energy, education,
big oil spending n waste, high taxation, etc.) showing us that she can be a
voice for the New Reformed Republican Party. For Ron Paul who believes that
the government should NOT take care of us from cradle to grave, is the voice
of Americans. The "shadow government" and "one world elites" would love to
take us down that blind path we know nothing about. We are but pawns in a
huge planetary game in which they would love to destroy us human beings.
By peacefully demonstrating our rights to free speech (which could also be
taken away, any day, any moment in time) we show the opposition that we
are aware of their deceitful operations and plans. We will NOT abide by it.
We would rather lay down our lives for our children and grand children then
have some blood sucking thirsty underground society tell us how we shall
live or die. Like Glenn Beck says "Question BOLDLY AND LOUDLY"
Peace, love and good will to all....Patriot Betsy Ross

Paul, sounds like that speaking engagement you mention may have already changed the timetable on what I was hearing yesterday, we'll see soon enough I expect. Otherwise it would have to be a very early Sat AM event here to allow for a luncheon date there in STL..

BTW, Aubrey - in case you haven't noticed (I suspect you have) there's been a pretty remarkable evolution underway regarding Ms.Bachmann's politics, and more and more she's lining up against the neo-con/neo-lib & internationalist tendencies so rife in both major parties. Most of the policy stuff you cite dates back to her first 18 months in national office, which I agree was pretty dismal at times. As far as Dr. Paul appearing with her, she's increasingly become one of his economics and individual liberties allies, and despite Dr. Paul's 'Dr. No' voting record, he's very well liked and well respected on both sides of the aisle, because he's respectful, thoughtful, and inclusive rather than caustic towards his adversaries. In short he's a statesman like few others today, and more exposure to that certainly cannot hurt Ms. Bachmann. Since you've tossed the hat into the political fray in the past yourself, I'd be interested to hear how you align with or against Dr. Paul's stances- I know you frown on the Bush doctrine of internationalist-minded interventions into foreign sovereign states as he does, wonder if your disdain is similar for the same from Obama. And even more telling- the more domestic intrusions into personal privacy that go unchecked by the new administration, all of the centrally planned social engineering being applied through dismal govt-administered schooling, and by govt politicians on all levels with the courts behind them, all of the massive growth in authoritarianism for the purposes of social engineering; all of this the brainchild of the corporate/internationalist/industrialists and their myriad foundations- do you see eye to eye with the Dr. on these more domestic trends that have destroyed and are destroying family, community, and the very founding principles of the country, and purposely so?

Hmm, if true, that's when Bachmann's giving a <a href="http://minnesotaindependent.com/43114/bachmann-to-speak-at-religious-right-workshop" rel="nofollow">presentation at the "How to Take Back America" conference in St. Louis. </a>
