Rep. Michele Bachmann was on CNN’s "Larry King Live" Monday evening to tout her crusade to bring $2 per gallon gas to America. During the interview, she forgot which city is hosting her party’s convention. From the Star Tribune:
The Republican from the St. Paul suburb of Stillwater was asked by King whether she thinks Vice President Dick Cheney should attend the convention. Bachmann responded: "I think everybody should come to Minneapolis. It’s the most beautiful city in the United States. And everybody is going to want to come here. I think it will be tough to keep away from this city, it’s going to be so great."
The Republican National Convention will be held in St. Paul on Sept. 1-4.
Here’s video of the King appearance. Michele sounds off on energy policy around the 2:30 mark and on Minneapolis at 6:30.

I care! St. Paul is the Capital City. Minneapolis is a nice city too, but it shouldn’t subsume the identity of St. Paul. It’s annoying enough when out-of-towners refer to the whole TC as “Minneapolis.”

I know, but there’s a finite number of times we can call her out on the same misrepresentations. Here’s a couple to go back to:
Bachmann slams Dems on bill she voted against
Gassy: Adding up Bachmann’s $2-per-gallon promise

Who cares that she said “Minneapolis” instead of “Twin Cities” or “St. Paul”? The lies she told without challenge on oil drilling and who blocked alternative energy funding are what are driving Republican gains in the polls. Let’s keep our eyes on the ball folks!
