Bachman got Gary Laidig's seat in the Minnesota Senate before she went on to Congress. Laidig was a person of substance. How could his party have exchanged him for such a person. A pretty face, maybe.

LaRouche supports the Conyers single payer approach, and has clearly said so.

Instead of talking about irrelevant things, here's a link to what he says, so people can look and think for themselves instead of being spun to.

http://www.larouchepub.com/other/2009/3628lar_obama_fascist_health.html

It is rationing care. So is the present system where for-profit insurers ration care. Where people die waiting for organ transplants and committees exist, now, to rank and rate those most promising for organ transplants when organ matches are available that could benefit multiple recipients.

Mickey Mantle, when he died, was not considered a good liver transplant risk, and got no transplant. Walter Payton died without one. People die. It's natural, if you are born you die. If a "revenue neutral" demand is made then revenue neutral decisions have to be made.

I do not know that the LaRouche criticisms are better or worse than Palin's. I expect LaRouche is better informed and more intelligent than Palin.

Don't you?

But he is for single payer and has been for years. That's something he's on record for example, 2001, this link:

http://www.larouchepub.com/other/2001/2814_conyers_hearing.html

This Google

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=-obama+single+payer+site%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.larouchepub.com&btnG=Search

Instead of name calling about "LaRouche cultists" and such hot-button language, try not to be half-assed on the facts. I have no idea why LaRouche has gone off in the more recent direction, he does seem to have seized the bit in his teeth and is not being reined in, but some of his prior stuff is sane and makes more sense in terms of how the public should be treated than those who have been taking UnitedHealth money and now are representing UnitedHealth interests over the public interest.

Have you ever thought - a one thousand page bill is suspect? It is making something way too complex out of saying cover everyone, convert to single payer, tax as needed to fund things but if Medicaid and Medicare and universal coverage costs continue to sky-rocket then reexamine things and see how cost control can then be added to a proper system put in place now, with far less than a thousand pages needed, for something upon which in the future cost-cutting and savings measures can be incrementally added.

A thousand page kludge bill is a crock. It is done that way to hide the fact that the insurers are NOT being slapped down for profiting out of the suffering and game playing denials of coverage and rescission efforts they inflict and are allowed to inflict upon people, at present, under the status quo they so vigorously lobby and spend to defend. Bachmann is as owned by those promoting the status quo as others, and you allow her do misdirect and use disinformation to divert attention from where sensible attention should remain - the private insurance burden on the public, the obscene profits that firms like UnitedHealth, the number one firm by far in Stirb's top one hundred money making firms in Minnesota:

Sorry, I didn't mean to stray into this forum of open minded and independent thinkers.
Clearly commenting that "many Klansman identify themselves as republicans" refers to LaRauche? and "Republicans burn cross" is right on point of this discussion of healthcare and a woman with a sign?
But, "as all conservatives, [I] miss the point entirely".

As do all conservatives, you miss the point entirely. I was referring to the post that said the LaRouche supporter was a Democrat.

I know all about Robert Byrd's past affiliation, but I'm talking about the reality of 2009. Let me ask you this: to what party does Peter Brimelow belong?

To Randy, you are the racist bigot. ?Klansmen identify themselves as Republican? You have heard of Sen. Byrd(Dem West Va), a retired klansman and ex KKK recruiter that throws the phrase 'white ni&&ers' around who is still serving in the senate? You did hear about the black man that was hospitalized after black men beat him up because he is a Repub? Racism knows no bounds, it never sides w/ any color. I don't know anyone that would celebrate a burning cross on anyone's lawn. Pathetic you get away with calling yourselves the 'tolerant' party, you are anything but. Look in the mirror, tolerance begins w/ you. As far as dirty tricks to undermine opponents, I guess Moveon.org or mediamatters or dailykos or huffingtopost or nbc or messnbc wouldn't know anything about 'dirty tricks'.....hatred knows no bounds.

LL77, many Klansmen idnetify themselves as Republicans. Would you have any objection to a news story that said "Republicans burn cross?"

No, she's a "raging imbecile" for making stuff up, and ignoring the facts of who actually is promoting that hateful Nazi imagery. As a congresswoman, she should be better informed than the rest of us.

She deserves every column inch that can be devoted to her, to document what she says and its distance from the truth.

I don't believe the GOP is made up "mostly of white supremacists," but you can't deny that the GOP is far more caucasian than the makeup of the general population; that some Republicans utilize "dirty tricks" strategies to undermine opponents, and that Republicans today are the party that responds to new ideas, rather than generating them.
