Partisanship aside, I’ve had several Catholic friends affronted at the huge dis it was to good friends and political adversaries who were just there to respect the man and his family, besides the obvious sacrilege – Now wellstoning has a new name – “Teddying”. Dumb.

Weber emailed the Trib almost before it was over, this was all orchestrated. They lost in Missouri and set up a little playbook. Liberals have absolutely got to quit buying into this misplaced guilt. It is a time to grieve for those that worked so hard for ordinary people.

After the 2002 Memorial-Rally debacle, I’d like to think the Democrats would have the common sense and manners enough not to “Wellstone” over Ted Kennedy’s body and try to make political hay. But, nope, it was just a matter of hours after his passing that they went into total Kahn-Mode, replete with the “do it for Ted” lines (I believe Pelosi was the first one outta the gate). Not just tasteless and embarrassing, but it’s also quite ill-advised to invite the inevitable “Wellstone Effect” backlsh by the American populace.
