Laurie Coleman is among The Hill’s most beautiful people

Laurie Coleman has secured a spot on The Hill’s annual list of Washington’s 50 most beautiful people. The 51-year-old wife of Sen. Norm Coleman is among the oldest entrants on the prestigious (or not) list, although considerably younger than fellow nominee 81-year-old Sen. John Warner. Here’s part of Coleman’s blurb:
Some politicians’ spouses stay in the background, shaking hands with voters at county fairs or appearing as a smiling face behind a triumphant or dejected candidate at campaign headquarters.
Laurie Coleman, wife of Sen. Norm Coleman (R-Minn.), isn’t one of those political wives. The leggy blonde is a former ballet dancer, a model and an aspiring actress with movie, television and stage credits to her name, including a turn in a production of "The Vagina Monologues."
Which raises a question: How much time does Laurie Coleman actually spend on Capitol Hill? Given that her husband supposedly lives in a tiny, rent-optional basement apartment owned by a Republican operative, and given that most of her work seems to take place in California, it seems unlikely that she’s spending much time on the Washington cocktail circuit. Which somehow makes this achievement all the more impressive.

In the photo above, it does seem as if she’s about to, er, bust out a monologue.
