
Rep. Michele Bachmann’s health care town hall in Lake Elmo Thursday drew some memorable one-liners (“I would first like to thank you for turning a Reagan voter into a DFL activist,” one man told the Republican congresswoman), some perplexing protest signs (”Obama’s plan is ‘fishy’! Report him”) and some moments of humor (Bachmann told a male heckler she’s given birth “probably” more times than him). I love this woman. She speaks well and stands up for the people who know what is going on with the health care lie and overbearing federal government.

It is interesting to look at the signs carried by the participants. Those who oppose the health care plan have signs that are home made and scribbled on cardboard. Those is favor have signs that are professionally printed. Isn’t it those who are in opposition that are being marginalized; and accused of being part of an organized effort (not that there is anything wrong with that).

Michele Bachmann does speak very well when it comes to convincing so many hard-working Americans that poorly paid public servants are evil and only for-profit health insurance corporations care about Americans and would never ration care. Anyone who can manage to pull that off deserves the highest prize for public speaking that we offer on Earth. You might say it reeks of Hermann Goering.
Nevermind that Americans pay over two times what any other nation on Earth pays for their health care per person and gets far worse results.

I do not live in MN, but LOVE Michelle Bachmann. She resonates the reasonable voice of the
general public, the REAL people.
I want smaller government. The Constitution guarantees this. The POWER grab in Washington is not even veiled, it’s outright BOLD. This is just another piece of the POWER grab, and I will
not let Washington have it. There is no TORT reform in the bill because most of these POWER
grabbers are lawyers, and they are COVERING their biggest contributors.
Give it up. Fight for your right to have smaller government which actually KEEPS you SAFE.
The WORK HARD ethic is quickly being eradicated by the NANNY GOVERNMENT.

If Michele Bachmann is one of the REAL people, I’d like to apply for a transfer to a different species.
She makes a big deal about being a “christian” but when I was in Sunday School, lying was a sin. Apparently that has changed.

As Bugs Bunny would say, “What a maroon.” You can be for smaller, more efficient government and not be a maroon. Ms Bachmann hasn’t figured that out yet, and so she plays to our worst fears. Yup, she’s a REAL person. A regular gal. But don’t we want our leaders to be brighter than we are?

Thank you Michele Bachmann. You are the brightest freedom fighter on health care reform that we have today. I do not want the government standing between me and my doctor. I don’t want insurance companies standing in the way either. I want the real reform that you are seeking. Please keep trying to balance the budget.

I’m sure Jesus is impressed that we allow capitalist to run our healthcare. I do live in MN and I do think our current healthcare system is immoral.
This notion that our government is evil or inept implies We the People are evil or inept, I don’t buy it. A great Republican once said, “Government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the Earth.”. I believe those words.

It is absolutely absurd to believe that profit-driven companies like HMO’s and other health insurance firms, which already ration healthcare and coverage would actually care about, much less protect, the health and human rights of the poor and ill. Bachmann is in the HMO’s pocket. One wonders what kind of kickbacks she enjoys from her anti-american votes.
Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

I am sorry people but the only lies that are being spred around are the lies that this over sized non patriotic admiastration is feeding you You have to ask your self do you en joy having the freedom to voice your opinion I hope your answer is yes. Michele Bachman believes in our freedom and freedom did not come free read your history this country has enjoyed freedom for over 200 years because of courages people like that of Michele Bachman. Wake up people our freedom is in jeprody as A great man Presiden Ronald Wilson Regagan said “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction We did’nt pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protecteted, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

Remember also your so called public option and mandate to carry health insurance will be measured like when you owe IRS on your ability to pay not what you can pay alot of difference here. Very strict guidelines. Even the very poor if they have any assets will be held against them, Yeah you might not lose your house in bankruptsy because if medical bill the old way the new way IRS will take it and lien anything else of value you have eliminating bankrupt.

kiowa, do you have a link for those statements? Those would be really important points not to miss if true. I don’t mean to doubt you, but there’s so much made up baloney going around I don’t believe anything about these proposals unless it is in one of the bills. You wouldn’t lie to me, would you?
I’m also a little confused because I knew a guy who eventually lost his house from bankruptcy after a motorcycle accident, and that was ten years ago…
