Rothenberg Report upgrades Walz’s re-election prospects

The Rothenberg Political Report has released its latest rankings for House races. Freshman Rep. Tim Walz’s seat is now listed as "Democrat favored." Previously the contest was characterized as leaning Democratic.
The assessments of two other Minnesota contests are unchanged. The House seat being vacated by Rep. Jim Ramstad remains a straight toss-up, while freshman Rep. MIchele Bachmann’s seat is assessed as "Republican favored."
The Second District Race, which Congressional Quarterly recently added to its list of competitive races, doesn’t make the cut.
