Via boingboing, here is one of the first political commercials produced for television. The Disney company made it for General Dwight Eisenhower’s first run for the White House, in 1952. Adlai Stevenson, Ike’s Democratic opponent, thought the new medium was beneath the dignity of presidential candidates.
